Searching AFC:
- Searching the Animal Friends Croatia web is easy. You can search for articles, images, movies, various documents, or mp3 files.
- Enter the key words in the search field and press the ENTER KEY or click on the 'Search!' button.
- For a more precise search you can use the AND, OR and NOT operators, as well as the parenthesis (). If you search for a phrase, you should put it inside the quotation marks "".
- For example, enter the word fur in the Search for articles field and press the ENTER key or click on the 'Search!' button. Then narrow your search by entering fur AND seals.
- You can search through the other categories in the same way. Enter the word farms in the Search for images field. Click on one of the images. A full-size image will appear (if there is any in the database), as well as a list of articles in which that image is being used, so you can find more information about the image.
- The wildcard * is available, however it can only be used at the end of a word. The query veg only retrieves files which contain the given word. On the other hand query veg* retrieves 'vegan', 'vegetarian', etc. along with 'veg'.
