FORGET THE STONE AGE - BOYCOTT THE FURCOATS!
Because of the great interest and media attention that after the US and Europe campaign with Goran Visnjic happened also in Croatia, Animals Friends will continue with the campaign this Saturday also.
Distributing the leaflets and CDs containing photo galleries and texts about suffering of the animals begins in front of the Europa theater at 11 A.M., from where the Animal Friends activists will continue their march toward the Ban Josip Jelacic Square.
On the leaflets, which specially for this campaign designed and printed the world organization PETA, is the most popular Croatian actor, Goran Visnjic, who wishes to inform consumers about the terrible way the animals are being killed for every piece of coat, collar or cuff.
An article he read in one magazine animated him to speak publicly about this problem: "My wife and I were disgusted," he says. "What's going on? Civilization is advancing, but some people are going backwards. Today we can use many different materials to warm ourselves without killing other beings."
On the CDs which will be distributed are photo galleries and texts from the web sites of the association prijatelji-zivotinja.hr and also PETA's web site FurlsDead.com.
This time also a "chinchilla" will participate in the protest and will hand leaflets to those wearing fur and remind them about the number of foxes, rabbits, raccoons, and other animals killed for the fur coats.
Animal Friends activists will also be carrying signs with the messages abut this cruel and heartless crime over the animals, and inviting everyone to join them in boycotting of the fur coats.
