Animal Friends invites everyone to adopt another companion animal at the event "Adopting is Cool"

- Zagreb, Trg bana Josipa Jelacica, June 15, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. - experiences of adopters with more than one animal

Animal Friends will participate in this year's second event called "Adopting is Cool," organized by the Shelter for Abandoned Animals of the City of Zagreb and the City Office for Agriculture and Forestry. The event will take place at Trg bana Josipa Jelacica in Zagreb, on June 15, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

On this occasion, Animal Friends will invite everyone to adopt another companion animal, thereby encouraging conscientious animal guardians to open their home to another animal beside the dog or cat that is currently in their care.

The benefit of adopting more than one animal is that the animal will not feel alone when the guardian is away from home, since they will have a companion for play and thus feel happier and more secure. Of course, when adopting more than one animal, guardians have to make sure that they will have the means to care for them for many years to come.

Visitors of the event will obtain detailed information on how to adopt an abandoned animal, and they can also sign petitions against keeping dogs on chains and in support of no-kill animal shelters. Several adopters and celebrities who have more than one animal, such as Viktor Drago, Zeljko Krznaric, Zoran Mrvos, and Luis Ibanez, will share their experiences and offer advice. Kitten litters that have been saved by the association of volunteers Prava sapa will be introduced and offered for adoption.

Animal Friends invites everyone to adopt animals instead of buying them, since one can then help those animals who are really in need of help.
