Animal Friends Croatia invites everyone to the green oasis on the European Square on Saturday, June 3rd
- June 3rd, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Zagreb's European Square in celebration of vegan food and environmental awareness
Everything is ready for the VeggieFair, an event loved by lovers of delicious plant-based food and good company, which has been organized by Animal Friends Croatia for the 12th year on a non-profit basis. About 30 exhibitors and restaurants will offer passers-by on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the European Square, vegan food and cosmetics that have not been tested on animals, all along with a fun and educational program. The event takes place under the auspices of the City of Zagreb.
With appropriate promotions, discounts and tastings, visitors will be able to see for themselves how fine, accessible and suitable vegan food is for everyone. They will also be able to find out why the choice of plant products not only benefits them but also the environment and animals. Namely, the choice of vegan dishes significantly affects the reduction of the negative impact of humans on the environment, the reduction of hunger in the world and the preservation of water and other resources.
"Citizens will be able to sit at tables under umbrellas, rest and refresh themselves and enjoy cold kombucha, juicy smoothies, coffee with plant-based milk, plant-based ice creams and street-food dishes such as plant-based burgers, hummus with side dishes, falafel, stews, filling salads and a dessert without animal milk and eggs", states Friends of Animals Croatia.
Anyone interested will be able to get information about the vegan movement, various informative materials and recipes, and be educated on how they can help animals by simply getting involved. A petition will also be signed to start investing in Europe's life-saving meat production technology without animals, which can also be supported on endtheslaughterage.eu
Sanctuary Sunny Hill, a small vegan farm located near Varaždin, where Kate the goat, Spock the goat, Iggy the pig, Ernest the turkey, Gretić the duck, Stefan the chicken and many others have found their forever home will for the first time be at Veggiefair where people can donate money and find out more about them. Among the products, Vegan honey will be offered at Veggiefair. Everyone will be able to buy new t-shirts with compassionate messages about animal rights from the Animal Friends Croatia online store and fill their canvas bags with vegan cosmetics, sweet and savory spreads, healthy snacks, plant-based cheeses, sausages, hemp products, vegan proteins and various other foods, many of which are crowned with the V-label.
Animal Friends Croatia invites everyone who has a vision for a healthier, cleaner and more compassionate planet to join them in this unique event. VeggieFair celebrates sustainability and advocates the necessary environmental awareness and personal activism by changing daily habits for the benefit of all the inhabitants of our planet. At the same time, there is an announcement of the ZeGeVege festival, which will take place on September 1 and 2, 2023, also in Zagreb's European Square.
