As part of "For Croatia without Fur" campaign, Animal Friends organized a protest against fur on Saturday, January 21, 2012, from 11 A.M., at Trg kralja Tomislava in Zagreb. The procession went from Trg kralja Tomislava through Zrinjevac, Teslina, Masarykova, Frankopanska ulica, on the left side of Ilica to Primorska ulica and the right side of Ilica to Trg bana Josip Jelacica, where they arrived at 12:30, then Draskoviceva ulica, Praska, Zrinjevac to Trg kralja Tomislava.

The procession stopped briefly in front of stores which sell fur and on Trg bana Jelacica, to point out that Croatian Animal Protection Act bans killing and breeding animals for fur, and asking for a ban on selling clothes made of animal fur. Activists in fur coats and with a paper bag on their heads, which had a letter on it, stood forming the word which tell what they think about selling, wearing and promoting fur.

Animal Friends has compiled a list of five most cruelly dressed Croatian celebrities, who, by wearing fur, show a lack of compassion for millions of animals tortured and killed so that someone could be exposed. The list of the most cruelly dressed celebrities in Croatia for 2012 is: 1. Katarina Rautek, 2. Marko "Cruel Tomcat" Grubnic, 3. Maja Sput, 4. Indira Vladic, 5. Vlatka Pokos.

As a member of the Fur Free Alliance (FFA), a coalition that brings together more than 35 organizations from around the world for animal and environment protection and has the support of more than 10 million people, Animal Friends has launched the project "Fur Free Retailer - FFR". "Fur Free Retailer" is an international initiative with the aim of informing citizens about retailers that do not offer products (clothes, shoes, etc.) made of animal fur.

Petra Friganovic, the successful model and a vegetarian since birth has joined the project promotion "Fur Free Retailer," and this month appeared on Animal Friends' billboards. The promotion of "Fur Free Retailer" took place at the press conference on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 7 P.M. in Europa theater (Varsavska 3).

The proclamation "Fur Free Retailer" is already signed by Image Haddad, Hippy Garden, I-Gle, Mitt moda, Modna kuca Mak, H & M, Marks & Spencer, Esprit, and Topshop.
