This is the translation of a letter of the Croatian Minister of Agriculture Tihomir Jakovina, which was sent to the Croatian Parliament on February 13, 2015, about the exemption of the breeding of chinchillas for fur production, which is banned by Animal Protection Act from year 2006. That Act was put into effect on January 1, 2007, with the transitional period of 10 years.
