09/06/24 ZeGeVege festival in full swing
An amazing vegan street food offer, education and entertainment at the European Square until Sunday
- From 6 to 8 September, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.: restaurants, healthy food exhibitors, promotions, tastings, talks on stage...
The ZeGeVege festival, the largest festival of vegan food and sustainable living in this part of Europe, is currently being held on the European Square in Zagreb. The three-day ZeGeVege festival started this morning, and will continue on Saturday and Sunday, offering a rich program for all lovers of healthy eating, ecology and a sustainable lifestyle.
In the excellent atmosphere of ZeGeVege, visitors can enjoy various vegan specialties offered by numerous domestic and international exhibitors. The stands are full of innovative vegan food products – from vegan burgers, yogurt, cheeses, desserts, smoothies, organic products, and craft beer. Within ZeGeVege's restaurant section, the aromas of dishes from six restaurants spread, which offers local, Lebanese, Indian, Japanese and Thai specialties, but the vegan way, i.e. from exclusively plant-based. But you don't have to worry that there are only salads on the menu – there are also stews and tortillas, of course, with vegetable meat. Among the diverse offer, everyone can find something for themselves.
During the day, the stage alternates with educational and inspiring talks with those who deal with the topics of health, ethics, environment and animal rights. All these topics are closely related to the vegan lifestyle, which as individuals can reduce our carbon footprint the most.
Veganism as a lifestyle is on the rise, and the organizers of the ZeGeVege festival, Animal Friends Croatia, are especially pleased by the fact that the vegan offer is on the rise in Croatia as well. More and more people choose such a way of life after realizing that it is possible to live quite normally by choosing food, cosmetics and clothes that are not made from animals.
The ZeGeVege festival evokes only to a small extent what is happening in the whole world, and everyone has the opportunity to join every time they choose what to buy, cook and eat. "ZeGeVege festival once again confirmed its status as a key event for all those who want to live healthier, more compassionate and more responsible. It's up to you to head to the European Square and see for yourself," Animal Friends Croatia says.
The ZeGeVege festival will be visited on Friday by the Mayor of Zagreb, Tomislav Tomašević, and on Saturday by the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, and State Secretary Tugomir Majdak, as a representative of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković.
The sponsors of the 16th ZeGeVega festival are President of Croatia Zoran Milanović, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Ministry of Environment and Green Transition, City of Zagreb, Zagreb Tourist Board, Agency for Agriculture and Food, Agency for Agriculture and Food, Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Committee for Environmental and Nature Conservation of the Croatian Parliament.
